ATTENDANCE POLICY

In order for students to achieve their full potential,  it is important that students attend class regularly.  However, if a student must miss a class, please inform the office or your teacher.  When a student is absent with or without notice, the student will not receive a credit for the missed lesson and the teacher is not obligated to supply makeup lessons, however the teacher may do so at their discretion.  For students enrolled in group lessons, the lesson plan of the missed lesson will be emailed to the parent/guardian of the child, providing the teacher is provided with the email address.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Two weeks notice is required if lessons are to be discontinued.  With all group lessons, the classes are determined by number of registrants, therefore four weeks notice is required.

Thanksgiving Day - Monday, October 10, 2011
Remembrance Day - Friday, November 11, 2011 
Winter Vacation - two weeks - Monday, December 19, 2011 - Monday, January 2, 2012
Spring Break - two weeks - Monday, March 12 - Saturday, March 24, 2012
Good Friday -  Friday, April 6, 2012
Victoria Day - Monday, May 21, 2012

RECITALS AND FESTIVALS

Music is for sharing.  Throughout the year the World of Music will offer recitals for students to participate in.  Recitals and festivals are a wonderful way for students and parents to meet other who are studying music.
